This role ensures the establishment, development, coordination, coherence, sustainability, efficiency and control of the overall compensation system, in particular salaries and bonuses for a certain population managed at Group level and consistency beyond.

 

--> The key challenges of the position lie in the ability to successfully and effectively:

  • Active contributor to the definition of Company Compensation & Benefits strategy supporting the VP Reward
  • Support the coordination, assessment and development of C&B programs and ensure their implementation and compliance.
  • Guarantee consistency in the implementation of compensation policies ensuring all local constraints are taken into account :
    • Global Salary review
    • Salary campaign
    • Bonus campaign
  • Develop procedures and policies in line with the constraints of the business, yet competitive with the market practice :
    • Design and manage variable compensation plan aligned with performance management and business goals
  • Job evaluation :
    • Evaluate jobs and contribute to ensure the accuracy of the banding framework with Reward team
  • Support internal equity and employee motivation in the solutions and packages proposed :
    • Provide internal and external benchmarking,
    • Market analysis,
    • Create salary ranges for major countries
  • Train and develop Reward understanding within HR network and beyond:
    • Ensure that policies are well understood and cascade within the organization
  • Provide the business and HR community with appropriate C&B solutions and tools in coordination with HR Digitalization team
  • Responsibilities also include:
  • Control of significant budgets with external service providers
  • Responsibility for validating possible exceptions that may arise with regard to the application of Group policy (involving the VP Reward / EVP HR as required)
  • Facilitation of the activity of internal and external networks on procedures

 

--> The jobholder also needs to:

Ensure that the Group’s policies are applied in an effective and well-understood manner, within a global context that is highly diverse and increasingly complex in terms of legislation and organization. Help Regions and countries in the complex management of bonuses (financial calculations), making available to all managers all the necessary compensation decision-making aids, through the use of adapted tools, managing conflicts that arise in the area, guaranteeing the use of rigorous data, and adopting good practice and an equitable approach. All this must be achieved while meeting strict deadlines (applying to the payment of bonuses, salary increases)

  • Manage sensitive data (relating to individual compensation) and some payroll processing
  • Maintain a level of recognized expertise within the Group with regard to compensation arrangements, particularly in the context of internal and external audits

 

--> Specifically, this role is responsible for the following areas:

  • Overseeing the implementation of the procedure for salary increases and bonus calculations for a certain population managed at Group level within the required timescales and to a high level of quality. 
  • Assisting in the development of C&B competencies globally
  • Participating in the design and approval of consistent Group-wide Reward policies including job evaluation, market analysis and benchmarking.

 

PROFILE REQUIRED

--> Level of education/qualifications normally required:

  • University degree
  • Professional HR Generalist qualification/advanced degree preferable

--> Specific work experience:

  • Significant HR experience (especially in C&B)
  • Significant exposure to a wide range of HR topics
  • Proven previous experience in working with/at senior leadership level
  • Proven experience in working internationally.

 

--> Technical / functional skills:

  • Knowledge of employment law in different countries, international taxation regimes, compensation and benefits, international mobility, etc.
  • Capability to optimize manager and employee’s experience for all Reward workflow / process / campaign
  • Coordinate and manage project appropriate evolution of HRIS system & tools with dedicated digital HR teams
  • Ability to select and involve the most appropriate internal or external experts.
  • High level of numeracy.
