As part of the Marine & Offshore Division's Technical Department, you will work in the "Fire & Cargo Safety" section.

 

You will be the manager of a team of 3 employees responsible for assessing the conformity of equipment to be installed on ships and offshore units.

 

You will be involved in product certification files for:

- fire protection systems (materials, partitions, extinguishing systems, etc.),

- systems dedicated to liquid bulk cargo safety, and,

- loading, storage and distribution equipment for alternative fuels (LNG, H2, NH3, MeOH).

 

As a team leader, you will be responsible for:

- assessing and monitoring service quality, managing workload and related priorities,

- strengthening customer relations with major manufacturers, analyse and collect their needs,

- defining and lead business development actions

 

Your mission will also have a technical side, and you will be responsible for:

- performing design reviews of equipment to assess compliance with the applicable rules,

- ensuring the continuity and development of expertise within the team,

- contributing to the training and support of our network of local surveyors in the team's specialties,

- participating to the regulatory development based on feedback and customer needs,

- occasionally providing support to surveyors for interventions on manufacturing sites.

Engineer or former sailor of the Merchant Navy, with skills in mechanical or process engineering, you have initial experience in the maritime, offshore or industrial field; ideally on subjects related to safety.

Specialization in testing, design, quality and/or control would be an asset to your application.

 

Your English is fluent, and you are mobile for occasional travel in France and abroad.

You are interested in technical and product design issues, but also in a commercial approach to these subjects.
