As we continue to develop Marine & Offshore activities, join our organization as Engineer - Piping Equipment Specialist in La Défense (Courbevoie - 92), France.

 

Role & main responsibilities

Joining the Equipment & Materials Certification (EMC) Department, within the Direction of Operations, you are to conduct design reviews, assessing the compliance of naval equipment installed on ships and offshore units. Your scope will cover piping equipment, water treatment and water pollution control systems.

 

Working for international clients, you will cover certification projects in relation with conventional piping systems, ballast water treatment systems, onboard water treatment plants (sewage, oily water), as well as piping components intended for ships powered by new decarbonized fuels (hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, etc.).

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Evaluating the compliance of equipments with regard to applicable maritime regulations and standards by conducting design reviews and validation tests.

- Supporting clients throughout the product approval process.

- Providing assistance to our international surveyor network

- Occasionally working with our surveyors on clients’ premises for project management, meetings, or tests.

- Performing active regulatory monitoring within the relevant fields, particularly in international working groups.

- Contributing to business development by implementing commercial initiatives.

 

The role will require occasional short-term international travels.

 

Requirements

Engineering degree (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering or industrial conception, you have a strong interest in technical subjects and the naval industry.
Through your past professional experience, ideally in the maritime or offshore industry, you have developed a solid technical knowledge in one or more of the above mentioned fields.

You are proficient in computer tools and have strong writing and interpersonal skills. Attentive to internal and external client needs, you know hao to adapt to new situations.

You are thorough, pragmatic, and enjoy teamwork. 

Your proficiency in English allows you to communicate effectively with our network and clients, both orally and in writing.
