As we continue to develop Marine & Offshore activities, join our organization as Statutory Manager M&O for our Head Office. The position is located within our La Défense (Courbevoie - 92) office in France. 

Role & main responsibilities

Within our Legal, Compliance and Risk Management Direction - Statutory and Classification Affairs Department, you will join a team in charge of the relationship with the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) but also the Flag States, of the Classification Rules, procedures and instructions for the ships in service surveys, and of the internal instructions for the statutory certification and surveys processes in accordance with the instruments of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

Within this international and regulatory framework, the support to the Head Office and to our worldwide network of surveyors is a key challenge to answer our clients’ needs.

The job incumbent will be responsible for :

- Developing internal statutory procedures and instructions

- Liaising with the IT Department with regard to development and updates of templates of regulatory statutory certificates and documents, of checklists for ships in service surveys including for inland navigation, and other IT applications for the statutory certification process, in particular those intended to cover the new environmental regulations

- Developing internal training sessions.

- Assisting our worldwide network of field surveyors for statutory interpretations

- Developing and updating the periodical reporting to the Flag States. 

Requirements

Diploma:  Engineer or equivalent (master level).

You know the classification process and the statutory regulations framework.

Rigorous and structured, you have good analytical and writing skills. You appreciate teamwork but are also capable of being autonomous and self-driven.

Full proficiency in English.
