--> Mission :

As an “IPC Product Leader – Machinery & Advanced Manufacturing” you are responsible for leading and implementing the strategy for development of the newly created Machinery & Advanced Manufacturing domain of the IPC BL.

This domain covers all the aspects which a Machinery Manufacturer and/or End User must deal with. This thus means Machinery [Self] Certification, Machinery Safety, Functional Safety, ATEX, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Radio Frequency, Noise, Cyber Security and – in the future – AI aspects but also the new manufacturing technics such as Additive Manufacturing.

You perform the job in the framework of the BV Quality Assurance System, the Code of Ethics, the BV Group policies, and the Division / Zone / Region guidelines.

--> Main Responsibilities

• Contribute to the definition, and be responsible for the implementation of the LEAP|28 strategy for developing Industrial Product Certification services related to the Machinery & Advanced Manufacturing domain.
• Create 2 new service offers: one for the Machinery Manufacturers and one for the Machinery End Users, considering the top priority countries and their regulations (Europe, USA, China, Korea and Japan).
• Support the process (in compliance with TIQ Department) leading to compliance with ISO 17020, ISO 17025 and 17065 standards when applicable. In relation with the above new business opportunities, identify and obtain the necessary licenses to operate and accreditations.
• Act as the Coordinator of the activity across the network to harmonize the methodologies and the procedures.
• Act as the Facilitator of the knowledge and competence management. This means to be in charge of identifying the specialists in the network and to call upon their resources when a country needs to train and qualify their personnel in some specific areas of the Machinery domain.
• Be in charge of the Quality (namely the QMS related to the activity), the Process (namely the production tools) and the Performance Review (namely the monitoring and the KPI’s) of the activity and in particular be responsible for the Machinery & Advanced Manufacturing section of the IPC SharePoint and for the organization and follow-up of the different governance meetings.
• Deliver assistance to the network when needed (especially when new products are developed) and organize trainings, seminars, and master classes.
• Perform regulatory watch with the support of the Global performance Center (GPC) and the top priority countries.
• Perform competition watch with the support of the top priority countries.
• Build up an M&A pipeline with the support of the IPC GBL VP and the top priority countries.
• Support the development of necessary tools to optimize the delivery process.

--> Requirements

• Graduated Engineer (or equivalent) with a strong professional experience in the TIC industry or similar areas.
• Fluent in English. Another language would be a plus.
• Minimum proven 10 years’ experience with a similar service provider and/or in industry.
• Conversant with regulations and standards related to Machinery & Advanced Manufacturing.
• Highly developed analytical skills.
• Business acumen.
• Openness and creativity to develop new services in the field.
• Worked internationally, sensitive to cultural differences, open minded and excellent communication style, and skills.
• Comfortable in client or authorities facing situations.
• Can work as team-leader and as team-member.
• Ability to work in small team but to mobilize cross-organization.
• Ability to influence and to work in a transversal way.
• Possibility to travel internationally 25% of the time.
