As part of Bureau Veritas’ Head Office Legal Department, you will be in charge of IT, Digital and Data topics. In this role, you will work with various stakeholders within the company (IT, Business, Procurement, HR, Finance, etc.), and liaise with Bureau Veritas’ legal network worldwide. You will report to the Legal Manager IT & Digital - Group DPO.

 

--> Your missions : 

 

  • Support to Group DPO :
  • Participate in the privacy compliance of the HO entities and provide support to the Data Protection Ambassadors in the subsidiaries worldwide;
  • Support all departments in their projects regarding the protection of personal data (privacy by design);
  • Regularly update the record of processings and monitor compliance actions with data controllers and security officers;
  • Conduct mandatory Privacy Impact Assessments;
  • Participate in compliance audits of Group applications ;
  • Produce training materials and lead training sessions for Bureau Veritas employees;
  • Participate in the management of possible notifications of personal data breaches and relations with the supervisory authority.

 

  • IT / Digital :
  • Support the IT and Procurement departments in drafting and negotating all types of IT contracts (SaaS, licences, maintenance, professional services, etc.) in French and English;
  • Draft and negotiate clauses relating to the protection of personal data in contracts handled by other legal counsels within the Head Office Legal Department, in French and English;
  • Support to Business when creating new digital services: assistance with scoping the service, drafting the related commercial terms and conditions, review of the commercial offer template, website compliance audit, verification of insurance coverage with the Group Risk Manager ;
  • Contribute to the company's compliance with new European regulations/directives (DGA, DA, AI, NIS2, etc.).

 

--> Preferred Experience :

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in IT/Digital and data protection within an international legal department or law firm.
  • You have a master’s degree in IT/Digital law and/or data protection, or any equivalent degree.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills enabling you to evolve in an international and challenging environment. You have experience in project management.
  • You can handle several tasks with pragmatism and reactivity. 
  • You have a strong team spirit. 
  • You are fluent in French and English and know how to communicate and draft in both languages.
