Mission
The integration of connected equipment and automation offer many benefits to ship owners and operators. Collecting and analysing data from the ship and transmitting them to shore improve operational performance on board ships and offshore units, while reducing emissions, optimizing maintenance and controlling operating costs.
In this context, we are looking for a Technical Specialist Digital & Smart Ships for our offices in Nantes or La Défense.
As such, your main missions will be:
- Develop our classification Rules for digital systems on board ships and offshore units.
- Collaborate, with our customers, in working groups or review of the Rules under development.
- Provide your expertise to our operational teams in technical projects.
- Participate to research and development (R&D) projects with industrial partners.
You will occasionally travel in France, Europe and worldwide. You will work with international partners (industry companies, research or standardisation organisations, etc.) as well as with our customers.
Profile
Graduate of an engineering school or equivalent, you have experience in digital systems on board ships and offshore units. Ideally, you have knowledge of the classification environment.
You have a strong interest for technical matters and good writing skills. Given the international environment of the position, a fluent level of written and spoken English is required.
