Join our team! We are looking for a Systems Specialist Expert for our site in ST Herblain.
Join a dynamic team: Within the Plan Approval Office for the France zone, you will join a dynamic team of experts responsible for reviewing plans related to machinery, electricity, and fire safety. Your role will involve examining plans for various types of ships under construction, both in France and abroad, in compliance with applicable regulations (class or statutory rules).
These design reviews include, among others, the examination of:
- Propulsion systems and associated circuits
- Piping, networks, and drainage systems
- Onboard equipment: pressure equipment, steering devices, etc.
Your main responsibilities:
- Conduct technical studies in your field and provide assistance to the Bureau Veritas network for ships throughout their lifecycle.
- Manage all components necessary for the proper execution of your reviews: technical and contractual follow-up, ensuring the quality of reviews and adherence to deadlines.
The naval industry is undergoing a major technological transition, giving rise to numerous environmentally friendly projects such as sail propulsion, hydrogen, and electric systems. Your strengths for success:
- Education and experience: With a higher education in naval construction or engineering, or preferably a former officer of the Merchant Navy or National Navy, you have knowledge in propulsion systems, mechanical engineering, and/or energy engineering. You are proficient with computer tools and demonstrate good writing and interpersonal skills.
- Language skills: Your proficiency in English allows you to communicate effectively with our clients, teams, and international network.
- Personal qualities: You are rigorous, have a strong team spirit, are autonomous, and possess analytical and synthesis skills.
