Umbilical & Flexible Engineer (EXPAT) #GendaloG

Qualification:

a)        Honours degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Subsea Engineering from a  university, with a solid grounding in structural engineering theory and techniques.
b)        Minimum 10 years of working experience in production facility (subsea) environments with a strong background in umbilical and/or flexible flowline engineering, construction, and installation.
c)        Prior experience in a similar role with proven leadership capabilities in yard or offshore settings.
d)        Experience with Hands-on design experience, including work for or with a major Operator.
e)        Extensive experience with design methodologies, offshore construction and installation activities, and associated analysis.
f)         Experience providing technical assurance for design and operational aspects of offshore brownfield projects.
g)        Experience with appraising CONTRACTORs' designs for compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
h)        Experience in prepare and present technical deliverables such as calculations, reports, and presentations to clients at a senior level.
i)         Experience with engineering fundamentals and structural engineering analysis.
j)         Experience with offshore design and installation challenges related to:
•          Umbilical and flexible flowline installation via reeling.
•          Pipe spooling and thermal design.
•          On-bottom stability and seabed interaction.
•          Installation analysis and roughness design.
k)        Experience with relevant codes and standards for both umbilicals and flexible flowlines.
l)         Experience in finite element analysis using tools such as Orcaflex, Abaqus, and Ansys.
