We are seeking a visionary Business Development Director to lead and scale our Building & Infrastructure division. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping the Go-To-Market strategy, accelerating top-line revenue growth, and solidifying Bureau Veritas' market positioning among key players in the construction, real estate, and public infrastructure sectors within the assigned territory.
You will act as a strategic partner to our clients, ensuring that their mega-projects and property portfolios meet the highest global standards of safety, quality, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to aggressively expand market share within the Building & Infrastructure sector.
Revenue Generation: Identify, qualify, and secure high-value contracts. Drive the entire sales lifecycle from market mapping and prospecting to complex contract negotiations and closing.
Executive Leadership: Cultivate and maintain C-level relationships with major property developers, contractors, government bodies, and infrastructure operators.
Market Intelligence: Continuously analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify untapped opportunities and advise regional leadership.
Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate with Operations and Technical teams to design tailored solutions that solve complex client challenges and ensure seamless delivery.
Team Excellence: Mentor and lead the commercial team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience: 12–15+ years of progressive experience in Business Development or Commercial Leadership, with a significant track record at a senior management level.
Industry Expertise: Deep-rooted knowledge and an established executive network within the Construction, Building, Real Estate, or TIC industries.
Track Record: Proven ability to meet or exceed multi-million dollar revenue targets and successfully close complex, long-cycle B2B deals.
Strategic Acumen: Strong commercial mindset with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and translate market needs into profitable solutions.
Communication: Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills. Professional fluency in English and the primary local language of the territory is essential.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Architecture preferred) or Business. An MBA is considered a strong asset.
