Field Operation Supervisor

Bureau Veritas is seeking a dynamic and experienced Field Operation Supervisor to join our Fuels Division team in Jakarta. You will be responsible for leading field operational activities, ensuring the highest quality standards in cargo inspection, and maintaining compliance with safety procedures and client instructions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: Supervise and coordinate daily field inspection activities for Fuels, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Biomass cargo.
• Technical Inspection: Ensure accuracy in Marine Cargo Surveys (including Draught Survey and Supervision) as well as Oil & Gas cargo surveys.
• Specialized Inspections: Lead the execution of Factory Audits, Vanning Inspections, and specialized sampling for Charcoal cargo.
• Team Leadership: Manage a team of field inspectors, provide technical guidance, and ensure efficient workforce scheduling.
• Quality & Safety: Ensure all field activities comply with Bureau Veritas standard operating procedures (SOP) and strict HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations.
• Client Coordination: Act as the on-site technical point of contact for clients and ensure inspection reports are delivered accurately and on time.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in inspection/survey industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Oil & Gas cargo, Marine Cargo Survey, and Petrochemical sectors.
• Niche Expertise: Experience handling Charcoal/Biomass cargo (including vanning and sampling processes) is highly preferred.
• Background: Prior experience in inspection companies (multinational or local) is a significant advantage.
• Competencies: Strong leadership, high integrity, detail-oriented, and excellent problem-solving skills in field operations.
• Language: Able to communicate in English (at least passive/technical proficiency) and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Education: Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Engineering, Marine Studies, or related scientific fields
