Bureau Veritas is seeking a visionary and highly experienced operational leader to serve as Operation Manager for our Fuels Division. You will take full ownership of service integrity, operational efficiency, and technical compliance across our cargo service spectrum—from Oil & Gas to strategic commodities such as Biomass and Petrochemical. Reporting directly to the Director, you will play a key role in driving division growth and service excellence in the Indonesian market.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Set the operational direction of the division, align resources with long-term business objectives, and ensure consistent achievement of KPI targets.
- Operational Integrity: Ensure that every inspection, including Marine Cargo, Oil & Gas, and Charcoal Cargo, is carried out with the highest standards of integrity and ethics in accordance with the BV Code of Ethics.
- Business Development Support: Collaborate with the commercial team to provide technical solutions to clients, support tender preparation, and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify, mitigate, and manage operational and technical risks in the field to protect the interests of both the company and its clients.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee operational budget management (OPEX), optimize margins, and ensure cost efficiency across all ongoing projects.
- Team Development: Build a high-performance work culture, develop talent at supervisor and lower managerial levels, and ensure a zero-incident HSE culture.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 10–12 years of experience in the TIC (Testing, Inspection, and Certification) industry, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial position.
- Industry Authority: Proven track record in managing large-scale cargo survey operations, preferably in multinational or local companies, with strong exposure to Fuels, Oil & Gas, and Marine Survey commodities.
- Technical Breadth: Strong understanding of international standards (ISO, ASTM, API) and local regulations related to cargo inspection, including specific knowledge of Charcoal/Biomass cargo.
- Strategic Thinking: Able to analyze operational data to drive efficiency and service innovation.
- Leadership & Ethics: Uncompromising integrity, strong negotiation skills, and a leadership style that inspires cross-functional teams.
- Language: Fluent in both English and Indonesian, spoken and written, for director-level and regional communication.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Marine Studies, Business Management, or a related discipline
