Minimum shall hold Diploma 3 Degree (D3), preferably in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering     

Minimum of 5 years’ appropriate experience and training in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Equipment                                                            

Hold certificate BNSP/MIGAS for Rotating Equipment Inspector                                                                 

Have practical knowledge of ASME welding standards and welding procedural adherence requirements including for duplex stainless steels and experience in site installation of equipment including internals, flange management and ongoing preservation rotating equipment and valves                                                                  

Should also be capable to witness Site Acceptance Tests, and / or pressure / leak tests, including the ability to accept equipment alignments                                                              

Familiar with PMI and Ferrite testing techniques, have detailed knowledge of API 1104 (Welding of Pipelines and Related Facilities) and API 5L Code and have experience of working with ASME B31.8 (Gas Transmission and Distribution Piping Systems)                                                                 

Conversant and competent in the understanding of bp specifications for rotating equipment and process packages.                                                                

Conversant and competent in the interpretation of general arrangement, isometric and detail drawings and process and instrumentation diagrams, along with welding and NDT procedures and requirements for qualification of personnel and procedures.                                                             

Qualified and experienced in witnessing and technical reporting on Train alignment, performance testing, FAT, string testing, verification of testing curve to data sheet requirements, noise data, and disassembly strip down and preservation.                                                                     

"Familiar with IECEx / ATEX and BS EN 60079-10-1 requirements to ensure classification

of the equipment meet the requirements of the contractual specifications."                                                                   

"In depth knowledge of

- Casting and forging process and associated flaws

- Welding inspection experience and relevant formal qualification (CSWIP/AWS)

- Main NDT methods (MT, PT, RT and UT)

- Surface preparation and coating and relevant qualification (NACE)

- Industry practices for FAT and site testing"                                                            

Capable in writing the inspection report in English
