We are seeking a Project Manager with analytical expertise in the environmental domain.  Knowledge pertaining to Atlantic and Canadian environmental regulations is required.  We are looking for candidates who can work in Bedford, Nova Scotia or St. John’s, Newfoundland.

 

As a PROJECT MANAGER, your responsibilities are:

 

  • The Project Manager is a key member of the Customer Experience Team (CET) functioning in a Project Manager capacity and is responsible for developing strong client relationships through top notch customer service.
  • Acts at the key liaison between the clients, laboratory and Bureau Veritas’ Management to ensure overall satisfaction which is critical for the development of a loyal client base.
  • Responsible for effective daily service, satisfaction and maintenance of client accounts.
  • Responds to all client communications (telephone or email) and redirects communications to CET members as required.
  • Provides clients with technical support on their varied sampling projects.
  • Provides consultation, recommendations, data interpretation and other technical assistance to clients.
  • Remains current on the interpretation and application environmental regulations.
  • Stays current with all methods, Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and Management of Change (MOCs) via the various reporting tools of the CompliantPro and CMR databases.
  • Documents and ensures closure to all client complaints, CARs.
  • Actively participates with the business development team in the development and execution of the regional sales strategies; including new account identification, tailoring services to meet client needs, and regular account reviews.
  • Works in conjunction with clients to coordinate all related project requirements.
  • Facilitates communication between clients and other laboratory departments.
  • Coordinates reports, data, billings and client requests.
  • Assists with the preparation of correspondence and reports for technical analytical data review, marketing information and other related documentation.
  • Executes IT test plans, records results and provides feedback.
  • Effectively executes to CET Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Develops and acts as a role model for respective CET members.
  • Works with accounting staff to facilitate discussions on client accounts receivable concerns and assist with collection of monies owed.
  • Adheres to all Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Ensures Quality Standards are maintained.
  • Provides client feedback to Bureau Veritas’ management.
  • Maintains current employee training file.
  • Adheres to and participates with all QA\QC policies of the organization.
  • Engages in cross-training/career pathing to support overall success of the Customer Experience Team.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

You are an ideal PROJECT MANAGER if you have [Minimum Requirements]:

 

  • B.Sc. or equivalent with at least (3-5) years’ experience in the environmental industry;
  • Must have basic chemistry knowledge for application in a laboratory setting;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in and English (French is an asset);
  • Excellent computer skills;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with lab operations, business development and the CET members;
  • Excellent interpersonal communication;
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and focused;
  • Must have superior multitasking skills and ability to work under pressure;
  • Must be able to work independently;
  • Represents the Bureau Veritas Values and is at all times professional;
  • Must possess leadership skills and act as a role model to junior project management staff;
  • You are responsible, dedicated and motivated

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • Office environment with frequent interaction in a laboratory environment
  • May require flexible workings hours, overtime and shift work.
  • Changing priorities and balancing workload to meet tight deadlines
  • Liaison activities and internal/external negotiations.
  • Minimal exposure to hazardous chemicals.
  • Some travel to customers/conferences and other Bureau Veritas locations (as required).
