Hours Worked: Typically, Monday through Friday, twenty-four to forty-hours per week.

 

Compensation Range: $25 an hour (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).

 

Position Summary:

The Calibration Technician Level I is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurement instruments and equipment by calibrating, maintaining, and repairing them. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train on calibration techniques and equipment
  • Perform calibrations and verifications on product processing, analytical lab, and measurement/test equipment.
  • Learn the gage check in/check out and pick up process
  • Generate and maintain necessary calibration data, forms & records as required.
  • Filing of certificates and other calibration documentation
  • Communicate effectively amongst a cross-functional team of Engineers and technicians
  • Multi-task effectively
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Skills & Proficiencies:

    • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and databases
    • Experience using pressure gages, load cells, torque cells, linear displacement transducers, digital indicators, micrometer/calipers, and various measuring devices
    • Ability to learn mechanical fixturing & set-up of load cells using dead weights, fixturing & set-up of torque cells using moment arm & dead weights, and fixturing & set-up for measuring distances inside of equipment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent analytical & time management skills for success in a fast-paced environment
    • The candidate must be able to work at both Cincinnati and Springboro facilities as needed. 

 

Education and Experience:

  • Required:

High school diploma or equivalent experience

  • Preferred:
  • Associate degree in a STEM related background
    • 6+ months’ prior experience with Maximo or other asset management software
  • 6+ months’ experience working with Allen-Bradley PLC’s and HMI’s
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry
