Overview:
Position Title: Lab Support I

Reports to: Manager FLSA: Non-Exempt
Hours Worked:
- Typically, Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week. However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.
- 12 month contract
Position Summary:
The Analyst – Cell Molecular Biologist is responsible for maintaining cell cultures, automation, RNA isolation/qPCR. Maintaining and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check and following daily work plan
- Complete work processes within designated deadlines
- Performs all tasks and procedures in a team environment with daily supervision
- Assist with preparation of specimens and instruments for testing as assigned (e.g., printing labels, uncap/cap specimen tubes, aliquot specimens, prepare racks, worklists, enter/scan specimens and load automated instruments).
- Perform simple data collection and entry to support the analysis of nanomedicine formulations.
- Clean, organize and maintain work area, glassware (e.g., refrigerators, freezers, and supply cabinets, as needed).
- Participate in the laboratory inventory program that provides adequate inventories of reagents and supplies.
- Follow the guidelines set forth with clients and Company Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Comply with clients’ and Company management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
- Perform other essential tasks projects and responsibilities as required.
- Cell culture maintenance, Laboratory automation, RNA isolation/qPCR, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment etc.
- Other duties as defined by Manager, department needs and workload

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
