Position Summary

To provide technical support to the department for both internal and external clients to meet or exceed their expectations.

 

Objective

This position provides technical support to the Analytical/Heavy Metals department in relation to resulting, reporting, division reporting and invoicing.  This position is also responsible for providing internal support to Operations that meets or exceeds external clients’ expectations. 

 

Major Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Incoming Samples to lab
  • Identify applicable components for testing based on assigned requirements
  • Process Technical Reports as needed
  • Create Data tables
  • Complete daily/weekly reports for the Division, as required
  • Back-up to other department areas, as needed
  • Assist manager with requests & department initiatives
  • Assist with functions requested or related to internal clients
  • Participate in department meetings
  • Adhere to the requirements of the BVCPS Quality System and assist with the implementation and maintenance of the department quality system
  • Provide feedback to the department manager regarding departmental systems, processes and recommendations for improvements
  • Assist with other departmental projects and issues as deemed necessary by management.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager

  • Highly proficient with MS Office
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize individual workload
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines and set priorities in order to manage daily workload
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks

Experience and Educational Background Required for the Job

Coordinator I:

  • High School Diploma plus 2 years related experience

 

Compensation Range: $16 - $18 an hour (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).
