Job Title: Regional Sales Manager - BC/YT
Reports to: Director, Sales - Western Canada & Emerging Markets
Department: Sales
Location: Burnaby. B.C. (Hybrid, Remote)
Basic Purpose:
Be the leader of the sales team within the region, creating a culture of trust, support and collaboration, ultimately developing future leaders. To increase Bureau Veritas’ revenue and market share through the development and execution of region and market strategies.
Key Accountability/Responsibilities:
Working with the Director of Sales:
• Establish annual department and territory revenue and expense budgets, account manager goals and coordinated departmental activity plans.
• Conduct weekly, monthly check-ins with direct reports, customer service, and operational teams.
• Conduct formal performance review sessions quarterly (including year-end, annual review).
• Provide team coaching and mentoring, as deemed necessary, based on the experience, skill and performance of the individual team member.
• Administer annual commissions program.
• Plan and conduct internal meetings, as required, including sales team meetings, revenue review meetings, strategic planning sessions, budget development meetings, cross-functional team meetings, etc.
• Management of annual revenue budgets, monthly forecasting and expense management. Responsible for sector specific budget development and budget forecasting.
Sales Related:
- Develop and execute strategies to promote environmental services; to grow market share and increase brand loyalty, primarily within the sector.
- Drive brand awareness through social media platforms and other tools.
- Gather the “voice of the customer” and leverage personal experience to define sector requirements and unmet wants and to shape our value proposition and service offering to the customer.
- Leading the RFP strategy while working closely with the Revenue Management Office and Director
- Represent Bureau Veritas by being an ambassador of the brand and values at conferences, workshops, trade association meetings and other industry networking events.
- Develop and nurture ongoing relationships with peers in other Bureau Veritas departments and respond to opportunities for cross selling.
- Increases market share by developing new accounts and expanding penetration with existing customers within the market
- Coordinates customers experience activities effectively with the customer experience team, operations, marketing, IT, and others as applicable through effective teamwork and communication.
- Leading and hosting external events at the client or industry level.
- Adhere to Bureau Veritas Code of Ethics Policy.
- Support and comply with all Bureau Vertias policies, Quality System and Health & Safety program.
- Participate, when requested, in department and health and safety meetings.
- Maintain training records and relevant qualifications.
- All other responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge:
- B.Sc. or Technical Diploma in relevant sciences or equivalent in experience with a minimum of 10 years sales/marketing and people leadership experience.
- Proven, positive track record of people and strategy leadership
- Excellent listener with strong customer service, problem-solving, superlative communication and presentation skills.
- Ethical, dynamic, energetic individual who is motivated and wants to make a difference.
- Valid driver’s license and demonstrate a safe driving record.

The salary range for this role is $90-115K + Commission Plan
Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
