Hours Worked: Monday through Friday, forty hours per week. However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.
Compensation Range: $25 an hour (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).
Position Summary:
The Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a scientific laboratory, as well as providing technical direction and support for research and operations activities. You will develop and maintain effective laboratory policies and procedures, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Your primary focus is on the management of scientific experiments and the efficiency of laboratory operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervisor the lab and team members in the lab.
- Assist with training new employees.
- Communicating with clients,
- Execute test methods in a laboratory setting.
- Perform physical testing of consumer products using automated laboratory equipment and manual techniques.
- Prepare precise measurements of materials using various apparatus.
- Prepare test samples.
- Prepare data entry using MS Excel, record data points in tracking system, maintain accurate data records.
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform other essential tasks, projects, and responsibilities as required
Skills & Proficiencies:
- Previous experience in the consumer products, pharmaceuticals, personal care, and/or food and beverage industries is preferred. Experience working in an FDA/cGMP regulated environment is preferred.
- Must have the ability to work with and smell fragrances
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time conducting repeated motions
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Prior experience working in a highly regulated industry
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering related field of study or 1-2 years' experience in a science or mechanical role using hand tools.
- Previous leadership experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
