Bureau Veritas North America – Power group is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our fast-growing team. The company provides owner’s representation, preconstruction management and consulting services to the utility-scale renewable-energy markets, including the wind, solar, battery energy storage and transmission sectors. The position will be based on a new solar construction site near Gibson City, IL where you will join other BV employees.
Duties:
Organization, flexibility, outstanding focus and strong communication are critical in performing duties which include, but are not limited to:

Support on-site Field Office Team (report to Site Manager)

Site Manager will train Admin on all required duties
-
Maintain and Organize files (BOX.com cloud based server)
-
Document control
-
Assist in writing and distributing reports (weekly, monthly)
-
Assist with multiple landowner relations
-
Order, organize, and maintain office supplies, safety gear, and some equipment
-
Handle minimal telephone calls
-
Some data entry
-
Coordinate special events as needed
-
Support field staff on as needed basis
Skills:
-
Experience with BIM360, Procore, or other project management software a plus.

Experience with document storage systems, Bluebeam, Adobe
-
Able to read drawings and develop/implement inspection templates
-
Good written and verbal communication
-
Open-minded and positive attitude
-
Coach approach, be willing to teach and be taught
Employment Type:

Full Time, 30-40 hours per week

Starting November 2024 until approximately December 2025
Education, Certification, and Experience:
-
High School Diploma
-
Some college or associate degree preferred
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience in administrative assistant role in fast paced environment
-
Knowledge of renewable energy industry, oil/gas, or construction industry a plus
-
Capable computer skills - proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Knowledgeable about or able to learn quickly other operating systems (Bluebeam or similar PDF viewer; BOX or similar web-based cloud file storage; Ajera project management and accounting software)

Will train on all the above and other programs we use

Highly organized and detail oriented

Adapts well to quick changing priorities

Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and manage sensitive information

Communicates professionally, effectively, and timely (both written and verbal)

Experience in wind or solar construction industry (or similar) a plus

Compensation:

$18-$20 hourly based on experience and qualifications
