Senior Account Manager, Oil & Gas Division  
Location: Texas 

 

Job Overview and Responsibilities: 

The Upstream Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth that is aligned with the business's strategic direction.  The intent is to provide maximum value to Bureau Veritas through two key complimenting service offerings, the Upstream Laboratories and Measurement Services.  

 

Primary responsibilities include the following (but are not limited to): 

  • Support the growth of the Upstream Laboratory and Measurement Services business by responding to industry and customer needs.   

  • Develop and execute strategies to promote Bureau Veritas services in the Oil & Gas Sector in the USA. 

  • Gather the "voice of the customer" and leverage personal experience to define sector requirements/client needs and to shape our value proposition and service offering to the customer. 

  • Manage significant account relationships and ensure consistent service delivery to meet customer expectations.  This will include a list of specific clients for which this person will be solely responsible. 

  • Develop a schedule for proactive engagement with customers on their list of clients.  The focus will be on face-to-face meetings with clients and interaction via teleconference, telephone or email.   

  • Develop potential clients through active participation in new account identification and regular account reviews. 

  • Represent Bureau Veritas by being an ambassador of the brand at conferences, workshops, trade association meetings and other industry networking events. 

  • Staying current on Oil & Gas guidelines, best practices and regulations. 

  • Act as a key liaison between the client, the laboratory, customer service and senior Bureau Veritas management. 

  • Actively participate in any proposal writing processes, including, in most cases, leading the process. 

  • Provide consultation, recommendations, and technical assistance to clients, with support from Scientific Services. 

  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction. 

  • Actively participate in all Sales meetings. 

  • Timely transfer of all related Sales activity into Salesforce. 

 

Compensation: 

  • Base Salary + Commission.

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience selling services.  

  • Must possess experience in the Oil and Gas sector. 

  • Minimum of 2 years post-secondary education in a related discipline to our industry (i.e. Sciences). 

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software. 

  • Salesforce knowledge would be an asset. 

  • Willingness to travel, primarily in USA. 

  • Possess a valid driver's license. 

 

Schedule: 

  • Monday to Friday 

  • May require flexible working hours and overtime. 

  • Willingness o meet clients is a must.
