Facilities Technician I

Hours Worked: Monday through Friday, forty hours per week. However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.

Compensation Range: $17.50 an hour (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).

Position Summary:

The Facilities Technician I is responsible for being a dedicated professional focused on client service and quality. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing all GMP cleaning duties associated with the laboratory and warehouse space to include daily cleaning schedules and associated documentation according to GMP requirements.
• General duties include, but are not limited to: drain cleaning, lab coat washing, drum cleaning and sanitation, PRL GMP cleaning, post HVAC inspections, garbage and recycling collection, and ladder inspections.
• Responsible for supply room management to ensure adequate inventory of cleaning related supplies.
• Makes child container dispositions for labs.
• Maintains accurate maintenance logs according to guidelines.
• Perform other essential tasks, projects, and responsibilities as required.

Skills & Proficiencies:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Works under close supervision.
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work pallet jacks and lifts and keep maintenance logs

Education and Experience:

• 0-3 years related experience cleaning in a laboratory or warehouse environment.
• High school degree required.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
