What You’ll Do:

 

  • Collecting hazard information on many toxicological endpoints for a given raw material. 
  • Conduct Exposure Assessments 
  • Organizing and compiling safety summaries on ingredients or products in specific dossier templates 
  • Perform special toxicology projects as assigned 
  • Organizing clinical test results into safety dossiers- requires higher order thinking skills, good writing capability and attention to detail 

 

What You’ll Need:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in science (Preferably Chemistry) – Important to have appropriate course work in chemistry and biology-general chemistry, organic chemistry, anatomy/physiology, toxicology, etc.  
  • Experience in searching scientific literature and publications will be very helpful in this role 
  • Excellent computer skills- (excel, Word, internet searching), strong biology/chemistry background and experience in literature searching (science journals) 
  • Requires some higher level math skills (such as conversion in metrics) 
  • Strong attention to detail and proficient problem solving skills 
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal 
  • Requires ability to work collaboratively with several groups to compile the data into and understandable format 
  • Ability to summarize the data to ensure no mistakes are made
