Laboratory Analyst (GC-FID Operator)

Food Chemistry / GC-FID Section

As a Laboratory Analyst (GC-FID Operator)  your main responsibilities are to:

• Perform analysis of food samples for Vitamin E, Fatty Acid Profile, Residual Solvent, Cholesterol and other food parameters.
• Maintain instrumentation in optimized and calibrated condition, troubleshoot instrumental problems.
• Perform reagent and calibration standard preparation.
• Verify data and generate final client reports.
• Be familiar with and adhere to all QC procedures.
• Meet quality and turnaround time specifications as required by the client.
• Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
• Maintain performance charts as per the QA/QC manual requirements, monitor for failure to meet tolerances and institute remedial action immediately.

You are the ideal Laboratory Analyst (GC-FID Operator), if you have the following: 

• B.Sc. degree in chemistry.
• Strong knowledge of chromatography.
• Experience with GC-FID preferred.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Shift days: Tuesday to Saturday, with possibility for occasional work on Sunday

 Shift time: 12 noon to 8:30 p.m. during weekdays & 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekends
