Your responsibilities are:

  • Tests samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications
  • Records test results on standardized forms and writes test reports describing procedures used; prepares graphs and charts.
  • Cleans and sterilizes laboratory equipment; calibrates laboratory instruments.
  • Prepares chemical solutions according to standard formulas.
  • Adds chemicals or raw materials to process solutions or products batches to correct or establish formulation required to meet specifications.
  • Review laboratory analysis, generates Certificate of Analysis, and is authorized to release and approve data when task is assigned by Lab Manager.
  • Prioritizes daily workload to accommodate daily rushes and specialty analysis & TAT
  • Knowledge of and adherence to QA regulations and ensures a high level of accuracy in sample prep and analysis
  • Distinguish and communicate SOP non conformances to management
  • Develops SOP’s and general work instructions
  • Understands analysis procedures and problem solves minor issues
  • Demonstrates proficiency and knowledge of all procedures within scope
  • Ensues maintenance and assessment of instruments
  • Validates data output
  • Participates in lab and safety meetings, as required
  • Maintains knowledge of relevant provincial legislation
  • Promotes a positive work environment for employees

  • BSc. In Chemistry/technical diploma or three-year College diploma.
  • Dynamic, energetic, motivated, positive outlook, with a "can-do" attitude to be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills
  • Strong sense of urgency & the ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail & record keeping skills
  • Ability to learn quickly
