Required Experience, Education, Certifications:  PE, or EIT, or NICET Certification (at least one of these certifications required for consideration).  NICET II or above preferred. EIT entry level willing to learn acceptable.


Preferred (but not required) Skills and Qualifications:  ACI, NACE, ICC Bolting, ICC Masonry, ICC Reinforced Concrete, NJSAT, CWI, or TCCC. 


Job Description: Candidate must be able to read, write and communicate fluently.  Candidate must possess basic math skills.  Candidate must demonstrate the ability to understand construction plans, specifications and procedures.  Candidate will be responsible for documentation of daily construction activities and evaluate quality requirements as built to the specifications.  Candidate must be knowledgeable of quality control testing on bridge & highway materials.  

-Knowledge of material, material handling, storage and manufacturer spec reports. 

-Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.  Ability to navigate through company internet based systems.

-Perform field construction inspection and documentation services on heavy highway and bridge projects.  Candidate must have the ability to sometimes work in adverse weather conditions.  Candidate must be physically able to perform moderately strenuous tasks; which includes walking along rough terrain, climbing ladders, scaffolding, or bridge cables, and lifting up to 50 pounds.  Candidate must be available to possibly work night shift or a varied work schedule.
