Business Development Manager – Healthcare Asset Sector

 

SUMMARY: 

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in Healthcare Sales to play a crucial role in expanding our footprint within the healthcare sector by supporting sales across multiple divisions. This role focuses on creating and executing a cohesive sales strategy that aligns with healthcare sector needs, leveraging the strengths of each business line. As a cross-functional strategist, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on opportunities across five core service areas: Special Inspections, Transactional Due Diligence Services, Project Management, Asset Management, and Architecture & Engineering Design. This role will be instrumental in growing our healthcare sector client base. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the healthcare compliance market, including The Joint Commission and CMS accreditation requirements, and will drive business by offering strategic solutions that enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and sustainability.

 

This is a market sector business development position, meaning the candidate will work at a strategic level without being tied to a single business line. They will work collaboratively with divisional leaders, contributing to revenue growth through targeted healthcare strategies that support and unify the entire organization’s goals.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Develops a Healthcare Sector Sales Strategy and leads the creation of a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the healthcare market showcasing the full suite of services across BVTA.
  • Collaborates with divisional leaders to understand unique value propositions and align offerings with healthcare clients’ evolving needs.
  • Identifies and establishes relationships with C-Suite stakeholders, facility managers, and decision-makers within target healthcare facilities, including acute care hospitals, senior living centers, nursing homes, and clinics.
  • Leverages industry expertise to understand client needs and position our services as critical solutions to healthcare asset management, project management, construction, design build and M&A challenges.
  • Promotes Integrated Services Across Five Key Divisions:
    • Special Inspections: Position our special inspection services to meet compliance and regulatory needs for healthcare facilities, emphasizing quality assurance in complex environments.
    • Transactional Due Diligence Services: Offer due diligence services for acquisitions, mergers, and asset evaluations, ensuring that clients’ investments in healthcare facilities meet operational standards. Markets real estate due diligence services to healthcare providers for facility acquisitions, expansions, and compliance reviews.
    • Project Management: Highlight project management capabilities that focus on healthcare-specific projects, such as facility expansions, equipment installations, and renovations.
    • Asset Management: Showcase asset management solutions that help healthcare clients maximize the lifecycle of assets while maintaining regulatory compliance.
    • Architecture & Engineering Design: Promote architecture and engineering design services to deliver tailored solutions for healthcare environments, enhancing functionality and patient experience.
  • Promotes and leads the sale of comprehensive services to assist healthcare facilities in meeting compliance, sustainability, and capital planning goals.
  • Presents FCA data that enhances Facility Condition Index (FCI) benchmarking and enables healthcare providers to achieve and maintain high Joint Commission or CMS accreditation scores.
  • Leads the promotion of healthcare-specific project management services, including design review, construction management, and sustainability consulting.
  • Offers design and plan review services to ensure new construction and renovations meet regulatory, functional, and accreditation standards.
  • Sells and oversees services related to paving studies, structural testing, and inspections that ensure the integrity and longevity of healthcare facility infrastructure.
  • Promotes routine inspections for critical facility components such as HVAC systems, roofs, and elevators, including modernization and compliance with healthcare safety codes.
  • Drives adoption of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) in healthcare facilities to streamline asset tracking, inventory management, and facility maintenance planning.
  • Assists healthcare facilities in implementing CMMS solutions that enhance regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Promotes EV Charging Station installations and infrastructure upgrades for healthcare facilities aiming to expand sustainability efforts and reduce carbon footprints.
  • Leads efforts in commissioning services for new healthcare facilities and facility expansions.
  • Provide energy audits and recommendations to optimize healthcare facilities for sustainability and cost savings.
  • Analyzes current accounts to identify opportunities for add-on services, with a focus on selling business-to-business services rather than products.
  • Collaborates with the Executive Vice President of Sales to follow up on leads and close new business opportunities.
  • Forecasts and develops sales strategies for assigned territories, projecting expected sales volume, and setting sales objectives.
  • Responds to client Requests for Information, Quotations, and Proposals within established deadlines.
  • Serves as the client's advocate within BV, identifying challenges, driving solutions, and ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Represents BV at industry conferences to increase brand visibility and drive new business.
  • Maintains accurate and timely data in Salesforce, regularly updating management on activities and progress within assigned regions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

Education and/or Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, engineering, architecture, or related field preferred.
  • Advanced certifications (HACP, CHFM, CFM, PMP) are a plus.
  • 5+ years in business development or sales in the healthcare facility management, construction, or asset management sectors, with a strong understanding of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in facility condition assessments, capital planning, healthcare compliance, and accreditation processes (Joint Commission, CMS). Familiarity with real estate due diligence, CMMS systems, project management, and healthcare facility operations.
  • Demonstrate an ability to sell business to business services.
  • Strong consultative selling, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Ability to present complex asset management strategies to healthcare executives and facility managers.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Valid driver's license required with no significant motor vehicle record (MVR) points/violations (clean driving record).

Salary: 120k+ base
