Bureau Veritas is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Technical Project Manager to lead and manage software development projects from inception through completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within scope. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, program managers and sales, while managing stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned in conformance with state and federal regulations.

 

Core:

 

  1. Mobilize IT project teams - Clearly articulate project plans along with roles & responsibilities for project stakeholders. Drive project execution through management of project timeline, deliverables, ownership.
  2. Lead meetings and inspire and drive cross-functional project teams to deliver shared project objectives and deliverables.
  3. Continuously monitor project performance; prepare and deliver project status updates and business reviews to key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery adherence of project targets.
  4. Develop, present, and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, timelines, and status reports.
  5. Communicate project updates, identifying solutions when necessary, to team members and client representatives, managing stakeholder expectations internally and externally.
  6. Analyze project risks, develop recommendations for risk mitigation and effectively communicate mitigation options to key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  7. Utilize project management tools proficiently to track progress and manage tasks, implementing feedback loops to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
  8. Serve as the dedicated Scrum Master for agile project teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies and implementing Scrum principles and practices.
  9. Apply industry best practices, techniques, and standards for effective project execution.
  10. Follows all documented policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions applicable to the position and support of BV's quality standards and strategic initiatives. Travel by Plane, Motor Vehicle, or Train to meetings may be required (less than 10%).

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from a four-year college or university; minimum of three years related experience. Alternatively, five or more years of related experience/training or equivalent combination.

 

Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsPMP or other relevant project management and Scrum Master certification(s) preferred.

 

Language AbilityProficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and SOPs. Capable of presenting information effectively and responding to inquiries.

 

Reasoning AbilityStrong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions. Skilled in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Technology SkillsProficiency in word processing, presentation, spreadsheet software, and web-based project management tools. Ability to operate electronic tablets for live data collection.

Salary Range: $100,000+
