Position Summary
The HR business partner (HRBP) is responsible for collaboratively aligning business objectives with employees and management in assigned business units. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues while also acting as an employee champion and change agent. The HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions by proactively communicating needs within the HR team, and with business leaders. The position formulates strong partnerships across the network to deliver value-added service to management and employees reflecting the business objectives of the organization.
Major Roles & Responsibilities
· Provides proactive and strategic HR leadership and consultation to business groups supporting all levels of the organization.
· Supports business strategy and objectives through people management expertise, and develops and maintains an understanding of business objectives and operating environment to proactively deliver applicable solutions.
· Delivers HR programs and services in the areas of talent management, total rewards, employee relations, workforce and succession planning, compliance, and change management.
· Provides proactive and strategic HR compensation planning and consultation to business groups supporting all levels of the organization.
· Implements value-added HR strategies and solutions.
· Acts as internal consultant to leaders, managers, and employees providing coaching and advice
· Partners with HR team to deliver customized programs and services to the business.
· Recommends and develops best practices and standard operating procedures.
· Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements to reduce legal risks, and ensure regulatory compliance.
· Analyze trends and metrics, providing reporting on HR KPI’s
· Works collaboratively on organizational projects as project lead or project member.
· Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
· Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation planning, employee relations, immigration services, diversity/inclusion, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
· Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
· Sound business acumen, and the ability to establish credibility, trust and partnership at all levels of the organization.
· Independence while working effectively and collaboratively within teams.
· Demonstrated experience managing and delivering long and short term initiatives through project plans for successful closure.
· Creative thinking and problem solving, showing innovation and ability with organizational diagnosis and solution generation.
· Excellent organization, time-management, and task-management skills to maneuver in a very fast paced and diverse environment.
· Superior communication techniques.
· Willingness to travel domestically up to 20% of the time
Experience and Educational Background Required for the Job
· 4 year degree in related field with 5-10 years equivalent experience
· At least eight (8) years of experience as a Human resource business partner role, preferably in a global or international multi-sites organization
· 3-5 years of compensation and organizational development experience
