Job Summary:

Sr. Manager of Operations – Bureau Veritas Power

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager of Operations to develop, lead and oversee the operations

department. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, reporting and making recommendations for our

client’s operational assets. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive operational excellence, ensure compliance

with safety and environmental standards, and foster innovation in renewable energy solutions.

Asset optimization for critical areas including:

· DC health and performance assessment

· Inverter, tracker & medium voltage transformer assessment

· Substation safety and inspection

· Wire management inspection

· Vegetation management and wildfire prevention

· Soil monitoring and module cleaning recommendations

· Security protocols and safety systems

Asset inspections and compliance:

· Conduct comprehensive inspections of our client’s operational assets

· Work with clients to ensure their O&M providers are performing to their contract for scheduled maintenance

and corrective maintenance.

· Provide recommendations to clients, through an inspection report detailing deficiencies and areas for operational

improvements

· Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance system

performance.

· Contribute to due diligence for client’s asset acquisitions by conducting inspections and reporting

· Subject matter expert for our clients on all things related to operations and maintenance

· Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the organization

Innovative Solutions:

· Leverage advanced technologies such as drones, robotics, and AI-driven tools to improve personnel and

equipment safety and operational performance.

· Address challenges related to repowering of aging or distressed assets and explore solutions for asset renewal

· Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize efficiency, performance, and profitability of assets

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including owners engineering, project management office, and construction management Stakeholder Engagement: · Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including customers, regulatory bodies, and industry partners as it relates to operations · Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support business growth and operational excellence · Identify new clients, and areas for increasing service offering · Identify scope and timeline for proposals, with support from business development team · Travel will be required up to 50% within the U.S. ·

 

Skills The requirements listed below are representative of acquired skills required.

· Demonstrated experience in renewable energy design, project development, management of construction, and or

operations and maintenance - BESS, PV, Wind, Substations and Transmission Projects

· Proven track record of managing large-scale solar projects and leading cross-functional teams.

· In-depth knowledge of solar energy systems, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

· Excellent communication and leadership abilities

· Advanced knowledge and experience in technologies including drones, robotics and AI, and experience applying

analytics into practical application

 

Education, Certifications, and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred

· 8+ years of experience in utility scale solar operations, with at least 3 years in a senior management role
