WE are looking for YOU if… you have experience as a Construction Project Manager working on commercial projects (such as retail, restaurant, big-box store, convenient stores, gas stations, distribution centers, electric vehicle charging stations, etc.). We are looking for you if you have experience with tenant improvements, building renovations, building expansions, and/or ground up projects. We are looking for you if you have experience managing the overall direction, completion, and budget of commercial projects.
 

For this position, we are seeking someone with experience as a Construction Project Manager and also possesses a Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering degree. The ideal candidate will have experience working specifically on building parking decks and/or water tanks for fire suppression systems.


The Construction Project Manager  is responsible for inspecting and assessing deficiencies in parking decks and water tanks (specifically related to fire suppression systems). This role involves detailed review and analysis of engineering reports, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices. The Project Manager will collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, and regulatory bodies to ensure the safety and reliability of fire suppression systems in various structures.

 

You will be primarily responsible for…

  • Leading the overall direction, completion, program management, and financial outcome of multiple retail projects within the construction services realm. Projects may range from retail, restaurant, big-box store, convenient stores, gas stations, distribution centers, electric vehicle charging stations, etc. Project scope may include tenant improvements, building renovation, building expansions, and ground up work.
  • Responsible for inspecting and assessing the structural integrity, safety, and compliance of parking decks. This role involves detailed evaluations of existing structures, identifying deficiencies, and ensuring that parking decks meet relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Assess the condition and functionality of parking deck components such as beams, columns, slabs, and surfaces.
  • Utilize various inspection tools and methodologies to accurately document findings.
  • Assess the condition, functionality, and compliance of fire suppression systems with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, documenting deficiencies, recommendations, and compliance status.
  • Managing multiple projects and the development of each from beginning to end
  • Facilitating the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables and planning and scheduling project timelines.
  • Managing every aspect of the development process including consultants, general contractors, vendors, specialty contractors, budgets, internal departments, and developers.
  • Familiarity knowledge of construction components, process, and methodologies
  • Manage each phase of the project including entitlement, design, permitting, bidding, contracting, construction, store start up, store turnover, and project close out.

What we require:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in structural inspection, engineering assessment, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, particularly related to parking deck design and maintenance and water tank fire suppression systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering reports, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and software.
  • Valid driver's license required with no significant MVA points/violations (clean driving record).
  • Personal credit sufficient to charge business travel expenses of up to $3,000 required.
  • Current PMP preferred.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
  • Required to travel by Plane, Motor Vehicle, Train (may be up to 90% of workweek) to client sites across the U.S.

Salary range starting at: $115,000

Annual Incentive Bonus Plan
Base Pay is adjusted based on job-related knowledge, skills,  experience, and market location.
