The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the organization and retrieval of customer samples and supplies by following established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safe practices.

SHIFTS:

Days: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM 

Swing: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Graveyard: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Comply with the OHS Act and Regulations, BV Group Policy and Procedures, Upstream Minerals Management System Policies and Procedures and ISO standards applicable to the Warehouse Technician position.
  • Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Carry out Warehousing procedures in accordance with documented SOPs and other work instructions.
  • Operate vehicles in the company fleet for the purpose of picking up client samples and supplies.
  • Inspect the forklift and other warehousing tools prior to use and record inspections as required.
  • Ensure proper functioning of Warehouse operations by:
  • Logging samples and materials into and out of the Warehouse location
  • Ensuring that Warehouse security in maintained
  • Ensuring all chemicals and reagents are appropriately stored per compatibility requirements
  • Practicing good housekeeping.
  • Communicate general warehouse issues to the Warehouse Supervisor as appropriate.
  • Report any deviation(s) from documented procedures to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Report any unsafe condition(s) observed in the department to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

 

TRAINING PROGRAMS:

  • BV Compliance Program, QHSE Induction, Forklift Operator

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

 

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

  • Minimum completion of high school education
  • Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack
  • Must have a valid NV Driver’s License and clean Driving Record
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to focus on workplace safety
  • Safely perform physically demanding tasks with repeated lifting
  • Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs. for 10 feet involving chemical hazards and travel/driving for business purposes. Sedentary work while driving
  • Open and inclusive mindset with a willingness to work in a team dynamic

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Basic literacy in MS Office suite preferred.

  • Warehouse Supervisor.
