Job Title: Client  Services  Representative 1

Reports to: Customer Experience Manager - Canada

Department: Client Services

Location: Vancouver B.C.

Full-Time

 

Basic Purpose:

 

Results oriented to produce high quality defensible analytical data, safely and on time by following applicable Standard Operating Procedures. Perform sample preparation/extractions of target compounds under specific matrices and provide general laboratory support in the analysis of samples.

 

Key Accountability/Responsibilities:

 

•          Client contact management (handling client contact via email/telephone/in-person)

•          Resolve client inquiries, issues and/or complaints

•          Assists in resolving financial issues/complaints as necessary

•          Track client jobs and report progress

•          Coordinate client needs with laboratory production managers

•          Assist and coordinate with branch offices/other BV units as required

•          Assist in maintaining client relations when required

•          Comply with occupational health and safety legislation, BV Group Policies and Procedures, Upstream Minerals Management System Policies and Procedures and ISO standards                applicable to the position

•          Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including the required personal protective equipment (PPE)

•          Other duties or tasks as assigned by manager

 

Skills and Knowledge:

 

•          College or University completion, or about to complete, ideally in chemistry, geology or related

•          Previous laboratory experience an asset

•          Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English

•          Excellent computer skills, particularly with MS Office applications

•          Strong interpersonal skills – outgoing, positive and flexible

•          Strong organizing and problem solving skills to effectively handle time critical issues

•          Able to work independently and with others

•          Attention to Detail
