Purpose of the document
Define the minimum requirements, technical competencies and professional characteristics required for the selection of Electrical Construction Superintendents to support construction activities for the ESO ELT Project in Chile.
1. Requested Profile: Electrical Construction Superintendent
Role Mission
Coordinate, supervise and manage all electrical construction activities within the assigned project areas, ensuring compliance with project schedule, quality standards, HSE requirements, engineering specifications and construction priorities.
Minimum Requirements
- Technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial electrical construction projects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supervisory or superintendent roles.
- Proven experience in MV/LV systems, power distribution and industrial installations.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
- Good English communication skills; Spanish is considered an advantage.
Technical Competencies Required
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single line diagrams, layouts and technical documentation.
- Experience supervising cable pulling, cable tray installation, terminations and equipment installation.
- Knowledge of MV/LV switchboards, transformers, UPS systems, MCCs and industrial automation systems.
- Experience coordinating with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Planning and Commissioning departments.
- Capability to supervise testing and inspection activities.
- Ability to issue and review daily and weekly progress reports.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and IEC standards.
- Experience managing subcontractors, electricians, foremen and vendor specialists.

- Ability to work under pressure in remote and high-altitude environments.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- High attention to safety, quality and project procedures.
2. General Requirements Valid for All Positions
- Availability to work in Chile under project rotation schedule.
- Availability to work at approximately 3000 meters above sea level.
- Experience with industrial HSE procedures, PTW systems and LOTO.
- Capability to work in international and multicultural environments.
- Strong reporting and communication capabilities.
- Professional reliability, continuity and commitment.
