Bureau Veritas is looking for a Technical Manager in Certification for Switzerland Area located in Zurich area.

 

 Main Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  •  Implement, manage, and monitor the effective implementation of the relevant global and local accreditation requirements. 

 

  • Responsible for the certification integrity (Certificate Decisions) of the local certification entity;

  • Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance to the management system requirements;

​​​​​​​

  • Improve management systems, processes, and best practices to enhance effectiveness and quality;

​​​​​​​

  • Monitor and supervise the processes to ensure compliance to the management system requirements;

​​​​​​​

  • Management of the competency of auditors, ensure support to Operations Managers and continually work on qualifying new auditing resources. Ensure appropriate records are uploaded and maintained;

​​​​​​​

  • To maintain updated the records and database (Global Auditor Database) with qualification & experience of Auditors, Lead Auditors and Specialists within their area, who are allocated to deliver BVC contracts, and to ensure that only personnel approved through Global Auditor Database are employed upon such activities;

​​​​​​​

  • Coordinate and provide training to auditors, sales staff and operational staff when required and ensure that training programs are established annually to cover refresher training and training on changes and new requirements;

​​​​​​​

  • Ensure resources have the required tools to execute tasks according to the company Management System requirements and policies;

​​​​​​​

  • Analyze technical data to identify opportunities for improving quality;

​​​​​​​

  • Perform quality controls and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure consistent, high-quality and compliant output according to requirements;

​​​​​​​

  • Coordinate corrective action implementation to improve systems;

​​​​​​​

  • To undertake internal compliance audits of the CER MS and certification activity within their area in accordance with the formal internal audit schedule;

​​​​​​​

  • Work closely with operations and support services (Operations, Sales, KAM, HR, Finance, IT, Procurement);

​​​​​​​

  • Keep abreast of changes to standards, management systems, procedures and communicate changes effectively;

​​​​​​​

  • Provide technical support in new business development;

​​​​​​​

  • Knowledge and/or qualifications in one or more certification standards.  

 

Experience & Skills Required:

 

  • At least 3 years experience in technical management working in industry, implementing and managing management systems;

​​​​​​​

  • Management systems certification auditing experience;​​​​​​​

 

  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory standards and country legal framework;

 

  • Experience in ISO management systems;

​​​​​​​

  • Experience in customer service and liaison;

​​​​​​​

  • Excellent computer literacy;

​​​​​​​

  • Excellent German and English communication: Speaking, reading, writing;

​​​​​​​

  • Ability to interact with all levels of management, suppliers, and clients;

​​​​​​​

  • Communication and Organizational skills;

​​​​​​​

  • Problem solving - Strong problem-solving abilities to analyse complex situations, identify issues, and develop effective solutions. Applies judgment and acts according to the Bureau Veritas standards of ethics and integrity;
